Argo Dynamics Pty Ltd trading as Argo Print & Design (“apd”) complies with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the National Privacy Principles for the fair handling of personal information. The Privacy Act sets out a clear framework for the collection, access, storage and use of personal information.  At apd, we recognise the importance of protecting the privacy of our clients and are committed to respecting your privacy.  We only use the information we collect about you to maximise the services that we provide to you. We may update our privacy policy from time to time and you will find any amendments here on our website.   Your visit to our website is subject to this privacy policy and our terms & conditions.

Collection of your personally identifiable information

When used in this policy, “personal information” has the meaning given to that term in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).  Personal information generally includes any information that can be used to personally identify you, that is reasonably necessary for our business to function, such as:

  • Name;

  • Business address;

  • Telephone number;

  • Email address;

  • Gender;

  • Date of birth;

  • Signature;

  • A photograph or video surveillance recording of you if you are physically present in our studio; or

  • If you are a candidate for employment, we may collect other information as set out during the recruitment process.  This may include information relating to your employment history, working eligibility rights, suitability for the role you are applying for, and your referee details.

 

These identifiers will be collected directly from you.  When you provide your personally identifiable information to apd, you are giving your consent for the collection, use and disclosure as set out in this policy.

 

If you do not wish us to have this personally identifiable information about you, please do not provide it to us. ​

Other Information

We may also collect information from you that is not personal information (as it does not identify you personally).  This information is normally retained with your personal information and may include:

  • Your shopping preferences and a list of products and/or services you have purchased from apd;

  • Information we require to deliver, service or fulfil warranty obligations for products or services;

  • Your marketing preferences, including the type of marketing materials you wish to receive and the method of delivery (i.e. email, text, etc);

  • Information you provide to us via our website, feedback forms, or directly to staff members in relation to our products and services; 

  • Device identification information when you use a computer, mobile phone, smartphone, tablet, or other devices to interact with us through our online store (argoprintdesign.com.au).  This information may include session cookies, your device imei number, ip address or mac address; and 

  • Information collected via our secure payment processing systems. This may include a unique card identification number to identify you as a repeat customer.

Purpose

  • To provide you with products and services;

  • To communicate with you, including about products and services, promotions, competition results and events;

  • To answer your questions and provide you with advice or information;

  • To send you digital marketing this may include, but is not limited to, email, text, or regular mail, social media and other digital channels;

  • To create orders, transaction records, accounts, tax invoices or receipts and agreements for the sale of products or services;

How we collect your information

We collect information from you directly, unless it is unreasonable or impracticable to do so.  Collection of your personal information may occur through the following interactions:

  • When you complete orders, transactions, registrations, requests or applications for our products or services (in person or electronically);

  • When you provide information to our team members;

  • When you communicate with us directly (by telephone, email, direct mail or any other means); 

  • When you register with us by creating an account or subscribe to our digital marketing;

  • When you interact with us via social media or digital media, during promotions, competitions, events; or

  • If you are a candidate for employment, when you complete forms in relation to the recruitment and selection process, for the purpose of assessment.

If we cannot collect your information

Of course, you can refuse to provide this personal information to us, however, it may mean that apd cannot provide you with some or all of the following that may occur:

  • We may be unable to provide products and/or services to you, to the requested standard if the provision of that product and/or service is reliant upon the collection of your personal information;

  • We may be unable to communicate with you to provide information about products and/or services that you have purchased from us, or may intend to purchase in the future;

  • We may be unable to tailor the content of our marketing communications to suit your preferences;

  • Your experience when interacting with us may be delayed or not as efficient as you may expect; or

  • If you are a candidate for employment, we may not be able to process your application for a position at apd.

Unsolicited Information

We will endeavour to only take information from you which is reasonably necessary for our business functions.  If you send us personal information that we have not requested, or we determine that the personal information you have provided to us is not reasonably necessary or directly related to any of our business functions or activities, we may de-identify or delete this information without notifying you to protect your privacy.

Correction of your information

If any of your personally identifiable information held by apd is incorrect or incomplete and you would like us to update or amend the record, please contact us (via the “contact us” page via our website or this link).  And we will make the requested amendments.  We may ask you to verify your identity to ensure that personal information we hold is not improperly accessed.

Direct Marketing / Opting Out

We may send you direct marketing communications and information about products and/or services offered by us or our partners or suppliers via the channels you have nominated.  If you have indicated a preference for a method of communication, we will endeavour to use that method wherever practical to do so.  You may opt out of receiving marketing communications at any time by responding via the channel in which you received the marketing communication, or by contacting us (via the “contact us” page via our website or this link).  If you’d prefer not to receive our emails, simply reply to the email and state “unsubscribe” in the subject line.  We do not provide your personal information to any other organisations for the purposes of direct marketing. 

How we keep your information & Security

We may hold your personal information in either electronic or hardcopy (paper) form.  If you provide information to us electronically we retain this information in our computer systems and databases.  This includes computer software programs, internet servers, and hosted internet solutions provided by third parties.  If you provide information to us in hard copy this information is retained in our files and a copy is made to our electronic files.  apd takes the security of your personally identifiable information seriously and will take all reasonable steps to ensure it is protected from unauthorised access, loss, misuse, disclosure or alteration, both online and offline.

Disclosure 

Your personal information in certain circumstances may be disclosed in connection with any purpose to any of the following:

  • Our employees, contractors or service providers, to the extent reasonably necessary to fulfil our obligations to you. These companies or individuals will be engaged on the condition that they comply with our privacy policy. This may include internet service providers, IT systems administrators, mailing houses, couriers, payment processors, data entry, data analysis, event management or promotions and email service providers.  Such service providers can only use the information for the purpose for which they have been engaged and no other purpose.

  • Our business advisors, including lawyers, accountants or other professional service providers, to the extent, reasonably required;

  • Suppliers and other third parties with whom we have commercial relationships, for business, marketing and related purposes;

  • If you are a candidate for an employment position involving a third party with whom we have an agreement, to that third party to assess your application; and

  • If required by law, to any person authorised by such law. Or for fraud protection purposes – we may have to disclose personally identifiable information to comply with any applicable laws, regulations, legal processes, government-related requests, for credit fraud protection or risk reduction; and we will release information if we are required to do so, and at our sole discretion. This may include the police service, ambulance service, or government departments or regulators within Australia in connection with law enforcement activities.

Your personal information will not be shared, sold, rented or disclosed other than as described in this privacy policy.

Accessing your information

You may access any of your personal information held by apd, by making a request in writing to us (via the “contact us” page via our website or this link) and detail your request and provide proof of identity before we can release it to you.  We will provide a record of your personal information to you via your preferred contact method (phone, email or mail), a small administration fee may be applicable.  If your request is unlawful or may interfere with the privacy of others we may reasonably refuse to provide access to your personal information.

Resolution

If you feel your privacy has been breached, or you wish to discuss with us about your privacy, or our privacy policy please contact us using the contact information above, setting out the circumstances and reasons for your complaint.  Our staff will acknowledge receipt of your complaint within 72 hours, and will normally respond to your request within 5 business days.  If your complaint is complicated or requires further investigation our response may take additional time to finalise.  We will respond to you by your preferred contact method if you have indicated one.

Changes to our policy

This privacy policy may require updating from time to time. Any changes will be updated on our website.  Your continued use of this website constitutes your agreement to all such revisions to this privacy policy. Please check back occasionally, in case we have made changes, as we may not issue you with notice of our changes. Any use of your personally identifiable information will be governed by the privacy policy in place at the time of the information being used.
